    Description

    Venlor is a medication available as special capsules that contain 150 mg of venlafaxine as its active ingredients. Basically, it’s an effective antidepressant, so patients take it to treat depression and other mood conditions, such as panic attacks, anxiety and others. There are different symptoms eliminated with its help, including changes in appetite, difficulty sleeping, problems with concentration and thinking, fatigue, suicidal thoughts and so on.

    Mechanism of Action

    How does this antidepressant work? Venlor belongs to a group of meds called SNRIs, but its structure is different from other antidepressants. It works in the brain by correcting chemical imbalances caused by the lack of specific neurotransmitters responsible for developing depression and other unwanted mood disorders. Besides, its intake blocks the reuptake of noradrenaline and serotonin, thus, relieving the symptoms of these conditions and resulting in improved mood. It’s possible to find this medication as capsules that come in different doses, from 37.5 mg to 150 mg.

    How to Treat Depression and Anxiety with Venlor

    One of the main causes of depression is imbalance of important neurotransmitters, especially serotonin responsible for mood controlling. This medication is also taken by patients to relieve symptoms associated with different anxiety disorders. For instance, if you feel irritated, worried, distressed and depressed, talk to your doctor about the benefits of using Venlor.

    Possible Side Effects

    All medications cause specific side effects, and Venlor is no exception. Some of the most common unpleasant symptoms experienced by patients when taking it include:

    bullet_ball_blue Changes in appetite and dry mouth;

    The good news is that most of these side effects are mild and rare. However, if they persist or you have serious problems, go to the hospital immediately.

    When Patients Shouldn’t Use Venlor

    There are certain cases when this antidepressant is not recommended for safety and health reasons. It’s not advisable to start this treatment if you have any allergic reactions, liver and kidney problems, heart conditions, etc. Pregnant and nursing mothers shouldn’t use Venlor to avoid health risks.

    Expected Drug Interactions

    Don’t combine Venlor with such medications as MAO inhibitors, pills for blood clots, other antidepressants, migraine drugs, pain killers, street drugs, antifungals and certain antibiotics. That’s because these combinations often result in dangerous drug interactions characterized by severe side effects and decreased effectiveness. Prepare a list of other meds that you’re taking, including herbal supplements and prescription drugs to exclude all pills that may cause any health problems while taking Venlor.
