It was synthesized in 1979 and appeared to be much more effective than its predecessors. In 1986, Noroxin was approved by Food and Drug Administration.

    bullet_ball_blue Infections of prostate.

Although Noroxin can be successfully used to treat other infections, sometimes it may cause unwanted consequences which are worse than the treatment effect, so it’s important to consult your doctor before purchasing the drug.

The effect of Noroxin is achieved through deoxyribonucleic acid synthesis inhibition. It bocks the DNA gyrase responsible for DNA supercoiling in bacteria cells leading to their weakening and death.

The first thing you are to do is to let your doctor know whether you have had an allergy to the alike antibiotics or any component of the medicine. Apart from Norfloxacin, which is an active agent of the drug, it contains such inactive components as croscarmellose sodium, cellulose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, titanium dioxide and magnesium stearate.

Also, Noroxin shouldn’t be used in patients with severe liver conditions. If you have tendonitis, bursitis, some muscle conditions, nerve disorders, kidney disorders or heart problems in your medical history, you’d better inform your doctor about it. Pregnant women and nursing mothers are not recommended to take the drug, as it hasn’t been sufficiently tested how harmful the drug can be for an unborn or nursing baby.

It’s forbidden to combine Noroxin with some drugs as they can reduce the effectiveness of the medicine and result in serious side effects. Don’t take it with:

Noroxin shouldn’t be combined with any dairy products, products containing iron, zinc, sucralfate, aluminum and magnesium. It’s to be taken one hour before meals or minimum two hours after it. The tablet is to be administered with a sufficient amount of water.

Depending on the type of disease, the dosage varies from 400 mg every 12 hours to 800 mg as a single dose. A usual daily dose is 800 mg. The period Noroxin is prescribed for is from 1 to 28 days.

The drug is rather effective, and there are lots of its generic versions. Noroxin provides bactericidal action and helps destroy the bacteria initiating the disease. Follow the prescription and you will get the desirable results without experiencing side effects.
