    Description


    Nowadays cancer is really one of the most difficult problems of the society. More and more people die from this terrible disease. However, there are some remedies from this problem, and Nolvadex is one of them.

    Indications for Nolvadex Use

    bullet_ball_blue Severe breast cancer (especially during the menopause);
    bullet_ball_blue Breast cancer;
    bullet_ball_blue Melanoma and soft tissue sarcoma containing estrogen receptors;
    bullet_ball_blue Severe ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer.

    Contraindications and Precautions

    Contraindications:

    bullet_ball_blue Hypersensitivity;
    bullet_ball_blue Pregnancy;
    bullet_ball_blue Lactation.

    Precautions:

    bullet_ball_blue Eye diseases (including cataracts);
    bullet_ball_blue Hyperlipidemia;
    bullet_ball_blue Strong leukopenia;
    bullet_ball_blue Thrombocytopenia;
    bullet_ball_blue Hypercalcemia;
    bullet_ball_blue Severe expressed thrombophlebitis;
    bullet_ball_blue Thromboembolic disease.

    Dosing and Rules of Intake

    Doses are always set individually and they depend on the indications. For the treatment of severe breast cancer you should take 20-40 mg 1-2 times a day (in the morning and evening), for endometrium cancer – 20-30 mg 1-2 times a day. The effect remains only in the case if the intake is continuous. If necessary, Nolvadex is used in a combination with radiation or cytostatic therapy.

    Nolvadex pills should be used without chewing. They should be swallowed with some water, in one session in the morning, or include 2 doses once a week – in the morning and also in the evening.

    Side Effects

    bullet_ball_blue Ossalgia;
    bullet_ball_blue Fever;
    bullet_ball_blue Decreased appetite;
    bullet_ball_blue Nausea, vomiting, severe constipation or diarrhea, in single cases – fatty liver infiltration, cholestasis, hepatitis;
    bullet_ball_blue Hyperemia of the skin with feeling of heat;
    bullet_ball_blue Leukopenia, strong thrombocytopenia, thrombosis, thromboembolism, thrombophlebitis;
    bullet_ball_blue Loss of visual acuity, serious corneal opacity, cataract, retinopathy, retrobulbar neuritis.
    bullet_ball_blue Endometrial hyperplasia, some reversible development of strong cystic tumors, strong vaginal discharge, metrorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, some genital itching, amenorrhea.

    The symptoms of overdose include increased side effects. Treatment should be symptomatic; there is no specific antidote.

    Nolvadex: Special Instructions

    bullet_ball_blue Before starting treatment with Nolvadex, women must undergo a thorough gynecological (pregnancy exclusion) and therapeutic examination;
    bullet_ball_blue The remedy causes ovulation, which really increases the possibility of pregnancy, that is why women of reproductive age must always use reliable non-hormonal methods of contraception while having this treatment and three months after the end of the treatment;
    bullet_ball_blue During the therapy, it is necessary to monitor blood clotting parameters, blood picture (leukocytes, platelets), liver function indicators, blood pressure periodically, see an ophthalmologist every 3 months, have gynecological examination. When there is bloody discharge from the vagina or vaginal bleeding, the pills should be discontinued.
