You should take Minocin carefully with different oral contraceptives, because it may reduce their effectiveness. It’s not allowed to use narcotic pain killers and anti-diarrhea products when undergoing this treatment. You should make a list of other medications that you’re taking and show it to your doctor before you start using Minocin to avoid possible drug interactions.

Doctors recommend their patients to avoid sunlamps, tanning booths and any prolonged sun exposure, because of increased sun sensitivity. You should wear special protective clothes and use effective sunscreen to avoid any negative effect. Minocin is not advised to be taken during breastfeeding and pregnancy because of possible health risks. Finally, its intake may lead to false lab test results, so inform doctors about that.
