    Important Precautions

    You should take the remedy carefully if you have any of the following conditions:

    bullet_ball_blue Hepatic and/or renal failure;
    bullet_ball_blue Severe anemia (should be compensated before treatment);
    bullet_ball_blue Radiotherapy, chemotherapy (after surgery) (because of a possibility of myelosuppression, exacerbation of radiation erythema);
    bullet_ball_blue Lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

    Ways of Intake and Overdose

    When choosing the regimen and doses in each individual case, you should be guided by special data. The drug is used orally. If swallowing is difficult, the capsule can be opened. Pour the contents into a glass of water and immediately drink it. You should take a fairly large amount of fluid during treatment with the drug.

    When using the drug in doses which are several times higher than recommended, patients can get the following signs of acute dermatological toxicity:

    bullet_ball_blue Soreness;
    bullet_ball_blue Purple erythema;

    Important Instructions

    When there is simultaneous use of the drug with other myelosuppressive medications or radiation therapy, the degree of suppression of bone marrow function or development of other side effects may increase.

    Treatment with Hydrea should be carried out only under the doctor’s supervision, who has experience in use of antitumor therapy. Before each course and during treatment with the drug, it is necessary to periodically monitor functions of the bone marrow, kidney and liver. Determination of hemoglobin, leukocytes and platelets should be carried out at least once a week during the entire period of treatment with the drug.

    Usage during Pregnancy and Lactation

    Hydrea should not be taken during pregnancy, so during the therapy a patient should be warned about the need for reliable contraception. If pregnancy has occurred during the drug administration, it is necessary to warn the patient about the possibility of a risk to a fetus. The drug passes into breast milk, so it is necessary to stop breastfeeding for the period of treatment or cancel the therapy.
