How to Use It
Use the medication the way your doctor has indicated. The drug always comes with a patient leaflet. The medicine is for vaginal use only, so do not apply it for eyes or take by mouth. Wash your hands each time you use the cream.
It’s recommended to insert one tablet, some cream or suppository into the vagina with the help of an applicator. The medication should be used continuously during the whole prescribed period of treatment, even during menstruation. If your symptoms get better during the first days of treatment, do not stop taking the medication. Use a sanitary napkin to make sure the cream won’t stain your clothes.
Some forms of the medication come with 7 disposable applicators, which are thrown away after each use. Some forms may have only one applicator, which should be used during the whole week of treatment. Do not throw away this applicator right after use, but separate its pieces, wash with warm water, rinse and then dry. Make sure it is dry when using the applicator for the next time.
If you miss consuming the drug, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time to take the next dose, skip the missed one and continue with your regular schedule.
