Ditropan is an effective medication taken by patients to treat specific urinary and bladder diseases, such as overactive bladder. It works by relaxing muscles in the bladder, thus, helping users solve the problems of their frequent urination and urgency. Basically, it belongs to a group of meds called antispasmodics, and Ditropan is not indicated to be used by children who are less than 5 years old.

Patients need to take this medicine orally, either 2 or 3 times a day, with and without food. Their regular doses must be based on their medical conditions and individual tolerance. Some doctors suggest people periodic trials off Ditropan to determine if its intake is still needed.
